As an Account Manager for Business Solutions, you will own sales execution, responsible for proactively building relationships within SMB accounts. Your goal will be to increase SmartCell / TELUS presence, focusing on transformational technology solutions aligned to our client’s core business objectives. Services such as wireline, wireless and Business Connect all need to be addressed and explored within the client’s business strategies.

The Account Manager for Mid-Market & Small Business (SMB) will foster confident, independent action and initiative, with a sense of urgency and the ability to make decisions. Your responsibilities will be broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities, requiring rapid shifts in priorities. You will develop and drive account strategy, build strategic alliances, and manage relationships within TELUS’ small & medium customer base, 1-150 employees while working from your home office.

Account Managers lead 2 key business objectives:

  • Selling TELUS wireless & wireline solutions
  • Seeking and identifying areas for new and expanded customer growth

These objectives are accomplished through targeted prospecting, hunting, and closing. Our highest performing team members react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas for dealing with them.

This is a challenging Work From Home Sales Specialist position made up of equal parts independence and collaboration.

As an SMB Sales Specialist, you are a self-starter, someone who will prospect, search and close opportunities targeting business clients that operate within the Small Business space with less than 150 employees.

With your creativity you constantly and actively prospect to find potential SMB customers, 1-150 employees, to aggressively grow the TELUS SMB customer base.

You will build and maintain your client base, and consistently deliver on monthly sales targets and quotas.

Here’s how

  • Promote and sell wireless & wireline services and Business Connect over the phone or in person by using technology tools
  • Actively prospect for potential Small Business Solutions customers, 1-150 employees
  • Build trust, loyalty and solid long-term relationships with key decision-makers
  • Understand current and prospective customers’ communication needs, business issues, and buying motives
  • Conducts “needs analysis” for clients’ wireless & wireline services
  • Deliver the right solution for clients’ evolving business requirements with prompt and efficient service
  • Own executive-level client relationships, strategic business planning and service delivery
  • Negotiation & entering into contractual agreements in accordance with TELUS’ policy and procedures
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts, funnel hygiene, target/objective updates to deliver on all territory plans and team annual targets
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by leading the account team to drive real and long standing business value
  • Positively represent SmartCell / TELUS values at work and in the community

Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • 2-5+ years Business-to-Business (B2B) sales knowledge
  • Can work independently from home, self motivated and a self starter
  • Excellent communication skills adapted to virtual or in person type of sales
  • Ability to think and act strategically, including navigation through all levels of a client or prospect organization
  • Selecting and qualifying profitable opportunities
  • Ability to deliver on growth and profitability
  • Demonstrated success managing both short and long-term selling cycles while effectively and consistently applying a multi-step selling process/methodology
  • Evidence of selling and effectively managing customer relationships
  • 2-5+ years of successful sales experience in business to business
  • Experience with, or an affinity for, volunteerism and community involvement

Great-to-haves

  • 2-5+ years of successful BTB sales experience
  • Solution selling or customer-centric sales methodology knowledge & experience
  • Success in their sales roles from working from their home office
  • Strong online communication through virtual meetings

What are we looking for?

SmartCell Communications is looking for an energetic and organized individual to fulfill a Sales Support Administrator vacancy in our Windsor location. This is a full time (8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday) opportunity for the right individual wanting to be a part of an energetic and fun team while learning and growing in a fast-paced industry.

For this position, you will be required to:

  • Process client wireless orders (activations, renewals and accessory sales)
  • Interact with our clients by phone and in person with order inquiries while working alongside our experienced staff
  • Assist with sales administration duties within the office
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Handle customer inquiries, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution, keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents

Requirements:

· Must be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and history

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Customer orientation and ability to interact with different character types

· Ability to multi-task in a busy environment and manage time effectively

· Be computer-savvy with knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs

· Customer service and/or sales experience is preferred

· Wireless industry experience is not essential but is considered an asset
