Your Core Responsibilities
As an SMB Sales Specialist, your day-to-day will be dynamic, requiring rapid shifts in priorities and a strong sense of urgency. You will focus on two key objectives: hunting for new growth and expanding existing accounts.
Key Duties:
- Aggressive Prospecting: Actively hunt and close new B2B opportunities within the SMB space (1–150 employees) via phone, virtual tools, and in-person meetings.
- Solution Selling: Conduct thorough “needs analyses” to deliver tailored wireless, wireline, and Business Connect solutions that align with client business goals.
- Relationship Management: Build long-term trust with C-suite executives and key decision-makers, owning the strategic planning and service delivery.
- Pipeline Hygiene: Maintain an accurate sales funnel, provide timely forecasts, and consistently hit monthly quotas.
- Contract Negotiation: Navigate and finalize contractual agreements in accordance with TELUS policies.
Who You Are (Qualifications):
- B2B Sales Expertise: Proven success in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales.
- Telecom Experience: Successful sales experience specifically within the telecommunications industry.
- The Challenger Mindset: Ability to think strategically, navigate complex client organizations, and manage both short and long-term sales cycles.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, seamlessly adapted for both virtual and face-to-face selling.
- Community Minded: An affinity for volunteerism and community involvement.
