My first TELUS Business bill is higher than I expected

This is likely due to partial charges. Our invoices always charge 1 month in advance. So, if you added an Office Phone or Business Internet in the middle of a billing period, you will see a partial charge from the date of your activation to your billing date, as well as a charge for the next full month of service. Any partial charges will only appear on the first bill unless there are other changes made to your account in the future.

Example of how partial charges are applied

You signed up for an Office Phone at a cost of $62.95 per month.

You signed up on May 25 and billing cycle begins on June 1.

Calculation to determine partial charge
$62.95 / 30 days in a month x 6 days (May 25 to 30) = $12.59 (partial charge)
Total charge on first bill
$12.59 (partial charge) + $62.95 (monthly charge) = $75.54 + applicable taxes

Register your Mobility account

  1.  Visit the Registration page.
  2. Complete the following fields:
      • First name
      • Last name
      • Email address
      • Confirm email address spelling
      • Password
      • Select your Security question
      • Create your Security answer
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Add your mobile account. You’ll need to enter the account number and postal code. You’ll also need your account PIN.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. You have now registered for My Account. The email address and password you’ve created will also work with the TELUS My Account App.

If you have additional accounts that you want to manage with the same email address and password, you can add them at any time by logging in to My Account.

To unlock your device, you can contact TELUS Client Care. Please see the details below on device eligibility conditions.

Device eligibility

Your device must meet all eligibility conditions below. TELUS may refuse any unlock request that appears intended to defraud TELUS or its customers.

  • Device is locked to the TELUS network (TELUS can only unlock TELUS devices)
  • Device is not flagged as lost or stolen

How to unlock your device

To unlock your device, please contact us by calling 1-866-558-2273.

If you’re calling to unlock your phone, we recommend to call from different device, so we can assist you with the unlock steps.

NEW Return your device to the original point of purchase
Purchased within the last 15 days If you are not satisfied with your device it can be returned under our return policy for a full refund or exchange. You are responsible for paying your first bill if you have gone over the trial limits set in your contract and you choose to return the device. If, after running TELUS Device Checkup, your device is found to be defective, it can be returned or exchanged for a new phone at no charge.
IN WARRANTY If your phone is found to be defective, we’ll get it repaired right away
Phones covered under the manufacturer’s limited warranty If you are not satisfied with your device it can be returned under our return policy for a full refund or exchange. You are responsible for paying your first bill if you have gone over the trial limits set in your contract and you choose to return the device. If, after running TELUS Device Checkup, your device is found to be defective, it can be returned or exchanged for a new phone at no charge.
OUT OF WARRANTY
Phones not covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty; are physically damanged and/or have liquid damage If you would like to submit your phone for an out-of-warranty repair at SmartCell, you will be required to authorize payment up to the out-of-warranty limit for the phone (the economical repair limit for the device).

If your phone cannot be repaired because it is beyond economical repair, it will be returned from the Authorized Service Centre unrepaired, and alternate options such as in-market offer or local phone repair shop should be discussed.
For your convenience, we recommend one of these established walk-in repair shops for quick, economical service if out-of-warranty repair is desired outside of TELUS:
uBreakiFix, Fonelab, Mobile Klinik, Fixt

COVERED BY APPLECARE+ COVERED BY DEVICE CARE
iPhone is covered under Apple’s 2 year AppleCare+ warranty Warranty coverage extends to 2 years.
