To our valued customers, |
Giving Tuesday is a day to celebrate our collective commitment to giving back and to volunteer even more to support our local communities! Since 2000, our TELUS family has contributed $1.3 billion – including 1.4 million days of volunteerism – to charitable endeavours and not-for-profit organisations… more than any other company in the world! |
During these extraordinary times, it is more important than ever to mobilise our collective efforts to make a meaningful difference. In this spirit, we are supporting Canadians taking action with us to volunteer virtually throughout the month of May! Join the TELUS #StayGiving Challenge, choose your favourite volunteer activity here and use the #StayGiving hashtag in social media to showcase your giving. |
One way you can participate is by sewing masks – it is a kind and thoughtful act of selflessness to help keep our families, our neighbours and our communities safe. We are striving to create 100,000 masks and invite you to join us. Click here to learn how you can sew your own customised mask. |
Giving back to our communities and supporting our fellow citizens is what defines our culture at TELUS. Over the past 15 years, through our annual TELUS Days of Giving, 250,000 TELUS volunteers have joined together to make a powerful impact in communities around the world, particularly for the most vulnerable in our societies. Now in 2020, we will continue this long-standing legacy and invite you to take action with us in virtual acts of giving. Our TELUS team members and retirees are already sewing masks and gowns for frontline workers, delivering food and comfort kits to local food banks and families in-need, donating blood to ensure ample supply, supporting crisis hotlines, conducting virtual phone check-ins with lonely seniors and so much more! |
To help answer the challenges resulting from the current health emergency, our team has committed $100 million to support Canadians through the COVID-19 crisis, including donating more than 10,000 free mobile devices and rate plans to thousands of organisations across the country, enabling hospitalised patients, isolated seniors and vulnerable Canadians to stay connected. Thanks to the passionate dedication of our team members, including our retirees and community partners, TELUS has been recognised on a global basis, earning a 1st place ranking in the U.K.-based DidTheyHelp.com crowd-sourced Heroes Leaderboard. This authentic, unsolicited recognition truly exemplifies our team’s unwavering commitment to help those who need our support the most. |
As part of our TELUS family, please join our TELUS #StayGiving Challenge and virtually volunteer with us. Let’s get through this together. |
Stay safe, stay connected and stay giving, |
